Media boycott of MPCC, Cong MLAs lifted

Imphal, August 28 2022: Following the assurance given to clear the pending advertisement bills, boycott of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and its MLAs by the media houses in the state has been lifted with immediate effect.

A joint release issued by presidents of EGM, MHJU and AMWJU informed that representatives of the editors and journalists' bodies held a joint meeting with MPCC president, office bearers and Congress MLAs on Friday wherein the latter assured of clearing the pending bills in two instalments within the end of October, with the first half of the pending amount to be paid by September 22.Following the assurances, EGM, MHJU and AMWJU convened another meeting on Saturday and resolved to lift the boycott, the release added.
