ICOP on central schemes held

Senapati, November 28 2023:
Central Bureau of Communication, Senapati District Field Office, of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, organised 'Integrated Communication & Outreach Program on 9 years of Seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan cum Photo Exhibition and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' at Mount Everest College, here on November 25 .
The event was attended by Th Thaikho Peter, president BJP Unit, Senapati district, as chief guest, PP Ronald, ADC/ ADM Senapati, as guest of honour, Worinyo, lecturer Mt Everest Hr Sec School, as resource person, Adaha P Chopullo, CDPO ICDS Project, Mao Maram, and K Fiishoni, head mistress Mt Everest Hr Sec School, as special guest.
Th Thaikho Peter stated that many people were unaware of the government's various welfare schemes in the region, and that participating in such events may broaden one's knowledge and know the benefits pf such schemes.
The chief guest also encouraged the students to view the photo exhibition of the central government's accomplishments thus far.
While every student is required to use a smartphone, he challenged the pupils to be smarter than the smartphones.
PP Ronald highlighted Senapati's history as the first open defecation-free district in Manipur in 2019, citing the implementation of health cards and cooking gas cylinders, which have reduced the likelihood of tree cutting while Worinyo underlined the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in achieving freedom of equality, poverty, hunger, and homelessness.
She emphasised the importance of 'India First' and the government's commitment to providing basic facilities like drinking water, electricity, healthcare, toilets, LPG cylinders, education, and financial inclusion to all.
She highlighted programmes like PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, and Mudra Yojana, which have been motivated by the principle of Antyodaya since 2014.Angthoi Sankhil George briefed the gathering about the event.
A quiz competition was also organised in the later part of the programme.
