There has been a marked improvement along the Irang-Khongsang stretch.
Except for a short stretch, the condition of Khongsang-Nungba via Rengpang had improved.
However, the condition of the Nungba-Barak stretch has deteriorated.
Also, the 6-km stretch near Makru bridge is worsening.
CO of 83 RCC, RK Garg while interacting with the BJP president said that the construction of Imphal-Santi Khunou is undertaken by 83 RCC.
He said that the condition of this stretch has seen marked improvement when compared with the previous years.
The CO further said that most of the construction work is targeted to be completed by March this year.
Meanwhile, vehicles started using the newly constructed Barak bridge.
The old Barak bridge has remained unused since the past one month due to bad condition.
Col LJ Singh, 2-IC of 114 RCC said that the stretch between 186 km and 192 km is in its worst state.
The stretch could not be repaired mainly due to lack of financial sanction.
He however said that completion of the road construction is targeted to be ensured by March this year.
