Governor Gurbachan Jagat greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of 'Sajibu Nongma Panba'.
The Governor wished that the New Year would usher in an era of peace, prosperity and progress in the State.
Extending best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi remarked that this is an important traditional festival of Manipur which marks the parting of the old year and onset of the New Year.
"As the New Year begins, let us resolve to set new goals and strive for individual as well as collective wellbeing.
Let us also renew our thoughts and work with unity and dedication to make Manipur a more peaceful and prosperous State", the CM stated.
Conveying greetings to all the people of Manipur, the Ethno Heritage Council called upon all to preserve and promote indigenous culture, tradition and identity of the nation.
It also wished peaceful co-existence and prosperity.
The United Committee Manipur in its Cheiraoba greetings, called upon all the people of Manipur to live together in an egalitarian society with love and mutual respect.
It further called to stand united for a unified Manipur by burying all kinds of conflicts.
