PNOF donates 30 KVA KOEL generator to District Hospital Senapati

The Poumai Naga Officers' Federation (PNOF) extended their assistance in the fight against COVID-19 by donating a '30 KVA KOEL Generator i-Green Silent DG Set Water cooled, Ill-Phase' to CO VID Isolation Ward, District Hospital Senapati today.
The 30 KVA generator is an immediate requirement for fighting against COVID-19, which can be used as an effective tool in the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the district, said a statement of PNOF.
In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 infections in the State, the PNOF felt the need to provide their assistance to the State Government in the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic, it added.
Speaking to media persons, P Duna Duo, MCS, SDO/BDO Songsong who is also the president of PNOF stated that the Government is doing all it can to combat the pandemic, but the Government cannot do everything all the time, Government also have limitations in terms of resources and manpower.
He expressed his concern for the people with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and added that the generator was provided to show their support to the Government.
P Duna Duo also mentioned that the initiative to procure the generator from Guwahati was carried out after they were informed that the District Hospital Senapati was in need of a generator Urgently for interrupted use of Oxygen Concentrator and other appliances for COVID-19 patients.
D John Sha, MFS, DFO Senapati who is also the general secretary of PNOF mentioned that through the support and donation of Poumai Officers posted throughout the country, the mission to donate the generator became a reality.
The total cost of the generator and installation is approximately Rs 5,20,000, he added.
It may be mentioned that this is not the first time PNOF has extended help for COVID relief.
Last year, during the first wave of COVID-19, the PNOF had also extended their assistance by providing monetary aid to 521 Poumai individuals and passenger's fare for people stranded outside the State.
