AR interacts, organises medical camp

Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) and CO of Army units interacted with local club representatives and Meira Paibi members of Leikinthabi, Awang Potshangbam, Wabagai and Tingri villages at Leikinthabi community hall on Sunday.
During the interaction, issues like additional protection to the farmers, domination of village areas to ensure harmony & prosperity, and assistance in sports projects were discussed.
The interaction brought several voices projecting the requirement of identification and coaching of local youths for NDA/CDS written exam and SSB coaching, which the AR representative assured to provide in the coming days, informed a PRO IGAR (S) release.
In another release, the PRO said that Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp in collaboration with ECHS Polyclinic and Bethesda Khankho Foundation, a local NGO, at Tuiringphaisen village in Churachandpur district on Saturday.
The medical camp was organised to reach out to the local populace with limited access to essential healthcare facilities during the ongoing crisis.
The Assam Rifles medical staff and a team of nurses and para-medical staff from the medical fraternity of ECHS Polyclinic provided service to 257 people from the area.
Senior citizens, pregnant & lactating women and children were the major beneficiaries of the camp.
