Moreh gears up fight Covid spread

Moreh, June 04 2021:
Moreh Task Force Committee has initiated various measures in the surroundings of the border town to contain the spread of Covid-19 on Friday.
The committee also urged the public to properly follow Covid-19 guidelines such as wearing of face masks, observing social distancing and frequent washing of hands to break the transmission chain of the virus.
Committee members also distributed face masks to people who came out without one.
Upon spotting several Myanmarese nationals selling vegetables and other items at Sun-Rise Youth Club playground, the members allowed them to sell their items till 9 am after which they were asked to leave.
Further, the Myanmarese traders were advised not to set up shop inside Moreh town and instead sell their produce to Moreh residents on their side of the boundary.
Drivers and passengers of vehicles coming from Imphal were also checked at Ima Kondong Lairembi Khubam (Chikim) village Police check post and only those who were able to produce Covid-19 negative certificate were allowed to travel further.
