CNPO observes Framework Agreement Signing Day

Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) along with its federating units including Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC), Naga Women Union Chandel (NWUC), Naga Chiefs' Association Chandel (NCAC) and others observed the 6th Year of signing the Frame work Agreement at its office in Chandel district headquarters on Tuesday.
The programme moderated by CNPO general secretary D Thamdok began with an opening prayer by Chothe Baptist Churches' Association executive secretary Reverend Dr Hranum Khiang, which was followed by rendition of the Naga national anthem and prayer ceremony led by Anal Naga Baptist Association president reverend Onesima for Naga peace solution.
United Naga Council (UNC) speaker Ws Kanral, NWUC president Tepamran Maku, NSUC president Sk Joseph, NCAC president Ts Ruwngwar, Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) president Sng Phamhring and CNPO president Rd David Boyees spoke during the programme As a part of the observance, Rd David Boyees also read out a memorandum sent to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi which was jointly signed by him, NWUC president Maku Tepamran, NSUC president Sk Joshep, NCAC president Ts Rungwar, ANTA president Sng Phamhring, CLAM (Chothe Lim Abom Manipur/Chothe Tribe Union Manipur) president Manthing Thao, Mar-ing tribe president K Yaima Maring, Lamkang tribe president Sk Moningam, Moyon tribe vice president Max Roel, Monsang tribe president Ng Gilbert, Tarao tribe president K Mela, Aimol tribe president Munthuireng and Khoibu tribe president Joshep Hongsha, reiterating their support to the Framework Agreement signed between Government of India and NSCN-IM.
CNPO also expressed its gratitude to religious leaders for conducting a prayer in Naga churches of Chandel on Tuesday for a final logical solution to Naga political issue.
