Imphal, August 03 2021:
Kangleipak Communist Party - Military Council (KCP-MC) Progressive celebrated its 14th Raising Day 2021 at the outfit's headquarters on August 3 commemorating the day KCM-MC was founded with the objective to re store the sovereignty of Kangleipak, informed a statement issued by its information and publicity secretary Maheikhomba Meitei.
The statement said that the Raising Day celebration was held with the main objective of informing the people about the freedom movement that the group has been launching for the people of Kangleipak (Manipur).
the outfit also shared the grief and pain of the people, who are suffering due to Covid-19 pandemic and who have lost their near and dear ones to the virus.
However, the statement main tained that the policy adopted by the BJP government has totally failed to contain the pandemic.
As the government sees curfew/lockdown as the last resort to fight the pandemic, daily wages earners and poor people as well as those in middle class are suffering immense hardships, it stated.
On the other hand, civil or ganisations and clubs are in no position to openly criticise the government's policy and the main reason behind is that leaders of some organisations are working closely with some politicians.
Some black sheeps are using Covid-19 pandemic as the shield to exploit the people of Kangleipak and keep the society under bondage and such society will gradually forget the freedom movement in the struggle for food, the outfit said.
Informing that the organisa tion is all set to join hands with like-minded organisations to take forward the freedom movement, the statement appealed to the public to understand the situation and come forward.
It further thanked the people of Kangleipak for their continuous support.
