Two NNC cadres held with explosives

Imphal, February 25 2013:
A combined team of Imphal East and Imphal West Police Commandos have arrested two active cadres of Naga National Council (NNC) along with two numbers of IED today from Uripok near Cheirap Court.
According to police report, a combined team of Imphal West and Imphal East Commandos under the supervision of Dr S Ibomcha, Deputy Superintendant of Police, Imphal West and under the command of Inspector P John, CO, Imphal West arrested two cadres of NNC identified as Luingam Horam (37), s/o Ngaithang Horam of Hoomi Ukhrul district and Elangbam Gyneshwor, s/o E Mangoljao of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai from near Uripok Cheirap Court.
Two IEDs compactly made by iron along with two electronic detonators and two bed switches; two charge Demolition M112; four circuits; one battery; six electronic detonators; one remote control set and two mobile handsets were seized from them.
On interrogation, Luingam Horam revealed that he is a Staff Officer of NNC working under Yirei s/s Mitanpyu of tangkhul Region of NNC (FGN, in long, Federal Government of Nagaland) since five years.
The IEDs and other items recovered today were handed over by one Tamocha of PREPAK.
He and Gyneshwor kept the items at the rented house of the latter.
Gyaneshwor also revealed that he is serving as an usher in Gauhati High Court, Imphal and is also working under Luingam Horam since one year back.
Both of them disclosed that NNC in collusion with PREPAK are planning to explode the two IEDs at Laipham Khunnou area, the report said and added that the duo was subsequently arrested by the combined team near Cheirap Court in Uripok while they were chalking out the plan.
