Two day workshop on research methodology held

The Department of Sociology, Don Bosco College Maram, Senapati district organised a 'Two Day Research Methodology Workshop' today.
The programme started with an invocation prayer by Rev Fr Sebastian Jose, Rector, followed by a welcome song and a welcome address.
Rev Fr Dr KO Sebastian, Principal Don Bosco College, Maram presented the inaugural address.
The first day's technical session was chaired by Professor S Mangi Singh, Department of Political Science, Manipur University as well as the present Director of Centre for Manipur Studies, Manipur University.
The first session deliberated on formulation of research proposal followed by interaction with the participants.
Faculty members from various Departments and student community of the college participated in the programme.
The second day has been scheduled for intensive field works in two selected villages near the college, with an objective to enhance the knowledge of life and traditional practices of the local tribe.
The workshop is the first of its kind, organised by Sociology Department, Don Bosco College Maram.
The active participation of all the students has encouraged and boosted the faculty.
The Department of Sociology extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Principal the College Management and Prof S Mangi Singh for making the programme successful.
