Imphal, October 19 2018:
Manipur suffered a shock exit at the ongoing 36th Jawaharlal Nehru Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament 2018 with a 2-3 loss in the hands of Delhi in today's tie.
The State team represented by Jai Hind High School, Matripukhri which had enjoyed emphatic wins in the three previous tie did not live upto its expectation as the Delhi side represented by Government Boys Sr Secondary School, Ghumunhera edged by a narrow 3-2 goals in a hard fought match.
Manipur's goals scored by Ricky Toijam and Bidyananda in the 28th and the 42nd minute respectively were not enough for the team to advance into the next stage.
