Donations to CM CRF, distribution of essential items continue

Imphal, June 04 2021:
Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) employees donated their one-day salary amounting to Rs 2,52,490 to the Chief Minister's COVID-19 Relief Fund (CM CRF) on Friday.
A team led by COHSEM chairman Dr Lamabam Mahendra handed over the said amount in the form of a cheque to chief minister N Biren.
On the other hand, Sahu Vikash Mandal, Mantripukhri general secretary donated Rs 1,21,000; Orien Realty Partner donated Rs 1,00,000; Bimol Moirangthem of Kakching, Rajkumar Mixn of Wangkhei and Protocol BJP Luckyson Nongthombam donated Rs 10,000 each and RIMS director contributed half salary for staff - faculty, staff and medical students amounting to Rs 10 lakh to CM's Covid-19 Relief Fund.
Along with donating medical items to the CM CRF, Manipur Petroleum Product Business Forum has started extending medical kits to hospitals and Covid Care centres in the state.
The Forum which is a conglomerate of Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum and several organisations of Nayara handed over medical kits including PPE, face masks, hand gloves and hand sanitizer to directors of RIMS, JNIMS and district Immunisation officer, RD Wing Lamphel.
Moreover, the Forum extended medical kits and monetary aid amounting Rs 10,000 to All Manipur Working Journalists' Union.
Meanwhile, political activist Sheikh Noorul Hassan has started distributing edible items including rice and vegetables to every household in Kshetrigao AC.
Sheikh Noorul further assured that doctors will visit homes of those who fall ill and will also provide free medicines.
Moreover, water tankers would be provided to those in need, he added.
It is said that the Sheikh siblings have so far extended relief aid to 14,500 households in 45 polling stations of the constituency.
Meanwhile, Bishnupur District VDF Welfare Association handed over face masks and hand sanitizers to members of All Bishnupur District Working Journalists' Union while Manipur Drivers' Association extended a sum of Rs 10,000 to the family of trucker and member of the association Oinam Nanao, who died in an incident along Jiri road.
On the other hand, Thingbaijam Naobi of Khurai Ningthoubung, Loktak Development Authority (LDA) SE Nangom Sanajaoba of Kwakei- thel, PHED SO Lukram Bishworjit of Kongpal Sajor Leikai, KKDC president Meitankeishangbam Lakpati of Khurai, Khurai Thongam Leikai Election Committee, Kongkham Leikai Election Commitee and Ksh Shamananda of Kongpal Laishram Leikai donated cash to Khurai Assembly Constituency Covid-19 Relief Fund as aid in the fight against the infectious pandemic.
A team led by BJYM vice president Mixn Raj also handed over relief materials and edibles to Koide village in Senapati while Supporters Group Kakching distributed face masks, hand sanitizers and drinking water to Covid Care Centres set up at Kakching Higher Secondary School, ITI Kakching, SC/ST Girls Hostel Kakching, Kha Manipur College Kakching, and Community Home Isolation Centre set up at Kakching Makha High School.
