Meeting held at SP office, Jiribam

A meeting was held today at the SP office of Jiribam District Police Station in the presence of Tribal leaders, Village Chief, CSOs and officer of 37th Assam Rifles.
During the meeting, which was attended by SP M Mubi Singh, Jiribam District Police, Captain Satish, 37th Assam Rifles, Tribal leaders, Village Chief and CSOs - various issues related to the hardships faced by the labour force who have come to Tamenglong and Churachandpur districts to engage in various Railways and National projects, were discussed.
During the meeting, the Tribal leaders, village chief and CSOs reportedly condemned the harsh treatment meted out to the labor force by some unscrupulous element.
M Mubi Singh, SP Jiribam District Police, after carefully listening to the words expressed by the Tribal leaders, village chief and CSOs, discussed on the various measures to be taken up to prevent such unlawful activities in the coming days and sought active cooperation from Tribal leaders, village chief and CSOs.
