Imphal, July 21, 2010: The land of MSRTC at Jiribam has been made available to the Transporters' and Drivers' Council as temporary parking of Trucks and buses vide an oder numner DT/5/88/Parking (JBM)/2010 dated July 14. The vice president, Transporters' and Drivers' Council, Manipur, Th Ibohal has informed in a press release that the land of MSRTC at Jiribam has been made available for utilization by the vehicles travelling in the Imphal- Jiri route for parking as well as public convenience.

In the press release, the TDC has informed that vehicles which are defying the decision of not plying on NH 39 are now fully identified and it has sent out last appealed to all the vehicles which are defying the decision of the TDC to heed to the appeal and stop plying on NH 39 until a workable solution is reached.

He also mentioned that public contribution to the initiative of TDC in making the NH 53 a reliable route for travelling with good road condition, individuals and groups are coming forward in donating for the cause, he disclosed that Keisam Kamini Kumar of Yairipok Keisam Leikai, Dry fish party, Thangal Bazar, Okram Indrajit Singjamei Oinam Thingel, Star Cycle Co., Keisampat Junction, H Irabot of Lairikyengbam Maning Leikai, H Devendra and Family of Uripok Khwai Brahmapur and Ashin Gurung, Kanglatombi have donated Rs.8,000, 15,000,1000,5000,1000,1000,700 respectively.

The total cash donation has reached Rs.1,99,800, he mentioned.
