Oxygen kits, safety items presented to CCCC, RIMS, cops

Imphal, June 15 2021:
Wells Fargo CSR Initiative and United Way of Bengaluru (UWBe) handed over 15 oxygen concentrators to Community Covid Care Centre (CCCC) set up at Singjamei.
Appreciating the support, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Y Khemchand, who is also MLA of Singjamei AC, lauded Wells Fargo CSR Initiative and UWBE for providing the life-saving equipment to Singjamei Community Covid Care Centre and added that it will help the patients during these troubling times of Covid second wave.
The initiative has been taken up under Corporate Relations UWBE manager Dr Aheibam Awarnamayee Das, daughter of Aheibam Ragnar Singh of Singjamei Meisnam Leikai.
Meanwhile, Heingang Assembly Enforcement Committee on Covid-19 under the initiative of Imphal East district magistrate distributed protective equipment to seven gram panchayats in Heingang AC.
Imphal East district magistrate handed over the protective equipment to pradhans of Luwangshang- bam, Nilakuthi, Laipham Khunou, Lairikyengbam Leikai, Kairang Khumidok, Kontha Khabam and Hein- gang GPs for further distribution among the locals.
Speaking at the distribution function held at Luwangshangbam Makha Leikai Ima Panthoibi Shanglen, SDO Porompat Pooja Elangbam lauded the activities taken up by Covid-19 Task Force and stressed that strengthening the task force could contain the spread of the pandemic.
Centre for Research on Environmental Development (CRED) also donated four oxygen concentrators (10 litres) and five D-type oxygen cylinders to RIMS.
CRED, which is an organisation overseeing collection of garbage under the Imphal Municipal Council, handed over the said items to RIMS director Dr A Santa.
Meanwhile, a team of Kalapahar Covid Task Force led by Vigyan Koirala provided masks, sanitizers and surface disinfectants to Kangpokpi police SP .
