The proscribed PLA and MNPF have claimed that it were their cadres who attacked troops of 4 Assam Rifles in between Aibol and Joupi at around 9 am yesterday in which one AR personnel was killed.
A statement issued by RPF assistant secretary, publicity Bangkim and MNPF deputy secretary, publicity MK Mashun claimed that a combined team of the two outfits attacked another 4 AR camp located at Aigyang, Chandel district at around 5.45 am of September 5 in which one AR personnel was killed and their camp was ravaged.
Earlier, a special team of PLA's tactical command attacked troops of 31 Assam Rifles on July 9 in between Kangpat Khunou and Kangpat Khullen which was followed by another offensive by a combined team of PLA's 252 Mobile Battalion and MNPF against troops of 29 Assam Rifles at Aibol village, Chandel district.
In their efforts to consolidate their rule over Manipur, the Government of India has been persistently scheming to divide the people of Manipur into multiple groups and it has been deliberately creating a fear psychosis among the masses, it alleged.
As a result, Manipuri people can no longer live their lives with dignity.
Pain, sorrow and misery have engulfed the whole Manipuri Nation.
The only way to extricate Manipur and her people from such a miserable condition is to uproot the alien rule, said the joint statement.
Waging war against India to restore the lost sovereignty of Manipur is a legitimate right of the people of Manipur.
Conflicts between the oppressed people and the oppressors is something natural and at the end, it is the oppressed people who emerge victorious.
PLA, MNPF and other like minded revolutionary groups will continue their offensive against Indian military forces together with the masses until the alien rule is uprooted, it asserted.
It went on to claim that the armed struggle is the only way to restore the lost sovereignty of Manipur.
