Security meet held at Tusom village

Imphal, March 08 2021:
Somsai Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a security meet at Tusom village today.
In the light of changing situation in Myanmar due to the ongoing coup and increased influx of Myanmarese nationals into India, the village security meet was conducted to sensitise the locals regarding the same, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
The village headmen & village authorities from the border villages of Challao, Kungai, Old and New Wahong, New Tusom, Tusom Khullen and Tusom CV participated in the meet.
It was highlighted to the village authorities that no civilian from Myanmar will be allowed inside the Indian territory without prior knowledge of the local administration and Assam Rifles and any incidences of the same to be immediately reported to Assam Rifles or the civil authorities, added the statement.
