Statues of Aung San Suu Kyi and Takhellambam Thoibi unveiled

Imphal, March 08 2021:
Left Coordination Committee, Manipur unveiled statues of Aung San Suu Kyi and Takhellambam Thoibi Devi at Irawat Museum, Lokchao Santipur Sanjenbam today.
The statues were unveiled today as a part of International Women Day celebration.
The statue of Aung San Suu Kyi was unveiled by L Sotinkumar, secretary, CPI Manipur and the statue of revolutionary poet Takhellambam Thoibi Devi who was also an associate of Jananeta Irawat was unveiled by Kshetrimayum Shanta, secretary, CPI (M), said a statement issued by Left Coordination Committee.
A book titled 'On the Women's Question' was also released at today's programme.
