Senapati, March 08 2021:
Reaching out to one of the most remote villages of the State, MLA, 49-Tadubi A/C, N Kayisii visited Kanem village, located 38 km from district headquarters, today.
The MLA along with his entourage visited the village and interacted with the villagers on various fronts of development.
Kayisii also inspected the only road to the village constructed under MLA-LAD Fund.
The village remained isolated over a long time owing to deplorable road conditions until the construction of the road by the MLA.
The villagers expressed their gratitude to the visiting MLA for taking the initiative to visit the village.
It may be mentioned that the village has been settled since 1951 and is one of the most neglected villages in the district without any proper motorable road.
MLA Kayisii assured the villagers that the construction of the road will be completed before the rainy season.
He also extended his appreciation to the villagers for the hospitality accorded to the visiting team and stated that the village would no longer be isolated with the construction of the new motorable road.
Later, the villagers and representatives from neighbouring villages interacted with the MLA and shared their grievances.
