Imphal, July 04 2015 :
Media in the State need to take extra care while circulating photos related to different crime incidents, former MLA Kh Joykishan has urged on Saturday.
Joykishan was attending a function where a photo and video agency "Keirak" was launched at Manipur Press Club.
Saying that Manipur has witnessed various unwanted incidents on a regular basis, he acknowledged that journalists are covering such events for publication meant for the public.
Such video clippings and photos which may cause fear psychosis and bad and negative feelings to readers should not be brought out, he suggested.
Minors are particularly prone to mental illnesses after seeing such petrifying images, Joykishan observed.
He was happy that Keirak, an agency of the State's scribes including photographers, has been launched.
He expressed hope that it will work for the betterment of the society.
