Development activities exhibits in ROB's photo exhibition

Imphal, November 23 2018: Photographs showcasing the developmental activities were exhibiting in the photo exhibition organised by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Indian on the theme "Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas" at Chingmei Keinya Bazar, Keibul Lamjao.

"More than 35 photographs highlighting achievements and schemes initiated by the Central Government were displayed at the exhibition hall" said Gin Gangte, Field Executive Officer, ROB Imphal.

He informed that the exhibition was inaugurated by Th.Shyamkumar, Minster, Forest and Environment in presence of M.L.A Saratchandra and T.Robindro.

The main objective of the photo exhibition is to give awareness to the beneficiaries about the utility of various schemes of the Central Government.

Among the exhibited photographs tag Ayushman Bharat to be the world's largest health insurance initiative, Giving wings to dreams of the poor and Hitting corruption Honest and Transparency.

It also highlighted about the Central governments intension to curve the corruption such as use of Technology to boost transparency over Rs.3,65,996 crore directly transfer to the bank accounts of beneficiaries for 431 schemes in the last 4 years.

Aadhaar gives legislative frame work.

More than 1 crore income tax payers linked Aadhaar with PAN and Introduction of transparency in political funding by limiting cash donation to Rs.2000 per person.

"It will be beneficial of such exhibition and the knowledge gain from would be very helpful in preparation of Civil Service Examination and other various competitive examinations" said Tomba, a Civil service aspirant.

He further applauded the government for going together with the public and disseminating information in the larger interest of the public.

It would be very interesting to acknowledge by the visitors about the Central Government's innovative ideas by looking at the photographs, he added.

Another visitor, Vikram informed that the exhibition would help to draw more public attention, if the organiser adds on some local aesthetic in the exhibition hall such as the poster or photographs of Sangai and other bounty pictures.

It may be mentioned that Bureau of Outreach and Communication was formed by integrating three departments, Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, Song and Drama Division and Field Publicity last year to fulfil the dissemination needs of Governmental information by creating an integrated communication strategy in coordination with Press information Bureau.
