Ukhrul condoles demise of HEC VC Phungton Shaiza

Ukhrul, June 11 2021: The Hunphun/Ukhrul Frontal Organizations consisting of Hunphun VAs, Hunphun Executive Council (HEC), Hunphun Shanao Long (HSL) and Hunphun Katamnao Long (HKL) have deeply condoled the demise of Phungton Shaiza who succumbed to Covid-19 after a prolonged battle on Thursday morning.

Late Phungton Shaiza was an eminent figure of Ukhrul district headquarters and was vice chairman of HEC at the time of his death.

He was also appointed as convener of Hunphun/Ukhrul covid-19 Committee and was actively involved in all activities aimed at keeping Ukhrul safe from the pandemic.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to Covid on Thursday morning while he was being taken to Imphal for further treatment.

Late Phungton Shaiza was vibrant and an exemplary source of inspiration, motivation and strength to everyone.

"We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Phungton Shaiza, the vice chairman of Hunphun Executive Council (HEC) on 10th June 2021 due to covid-19," said the HEC even as numerous condolence messages have poured in.

The Ukhrul District Passenger Service Association (UDPSA) and Ukhrul District Boxing Association (UDBA) saluted the late man for the services rendered for the development of both associations during his lifetime.

Phungton Shaiza was one of the founding members of UDPSA and was its advisor at the time of his death.

UDPSA said that the people of Ukhrul will remember him for his good deed and shared the grief and pain of the family.
