MLAs N Bihari Singh and K Tomba Singh, who are undergoing treatment at the RIMS, Hospital after they were injured in the June 18 arson have been shifted to Delhi�s Safdarjung Hospital this morning by a special Indian Airlines plane.
Governor Ved Marwah saw off the two MLAs at the Tulihal Airport this noon.
They are accompanied by family members.
The two received severe burn injuries when a rampaging mob set on fire the State Assembly Secretariat on June 18.The condition of Bihari who sustained more than 70 pc burn injury is stated to be critical.
Moirangthem Naocha Singh (21) S/O M Sekho of Khurai Thongam Leikai has also been referred to a hospital to a hospital in Guwahati after his condition worsened at the JN Hospital.
He suffered grievous head injuries in police lathi charge on protesters on June 18.Members of the Relief Committee at JN Hospital for Victims of June 18 incident told reporters today that Naocha who had been under the care of Dr Motilal till today has bouts of unconsciousness and fits during the last few days.
He has been referred to Guwahati as the State does not the have MIR scan facilities, they added.
The representatives said that Naocha�s family is facing financial hardships and appealed to the people to make further donations.
The relief committee will make a one time assistance of Rs 40.000 to Naocha which will be used as transportation charge and hospital admission fee.
Naocha is to be taken to Guwahati in an ambulance, they said hoping that Shija Clinic will agree to the request of Naocha�s family to use the clinic vehicle.
A committee member I.Irabanta will accompany Naocha.
The committee could not look after all the needs of the victim as another eight injured persons are presently treated at the JN Hospital.
They said that committee has collected Rs.2.03, 686 till yesterday and Rs 2000 each have been handed over to the families of the deceased.
Rs 1000 each have also been given to the injured Ksh Naoton of Khurai Konsam Leikai who has been discharged from hospital and to B Biju who is being treated at the Shija Clinic.
Till today, a total of Rs 95,500 has been used up from the committee relief fund.
The committee members further said that they are planning to donate a limb to S Sobita Devi who has one leg if the fund permits.
