The United People's Administrative Council, Manipur (UPACO) today appealed to the All India Students Federation (AISF) to call off the bandh.
This is not the right time to call a bandh considering the fluid political condition it was pointed out.
The AISF should join hands with the bodies in the district it pointed out and appealed to AISF to discuss the matter with intellectuals and public leaders regarding the alleged misuse of fund by the Thoubal DC.
Bandh affects normal life and the matter is also under the purview of the Vigilance.
The All Manipur Students' Union, Thoubal District Committee today said in a press statement that everybody is calling a bandh on their own as if the state is a state without any owner.
Students� bodies also create problems it said.
Some organizations try to please their masters in Delhi it said.
Fire will engulf the whole state if we allow some kids to start a fire in the name of the world it was pointed out.
AMSU is trying to stop calling frequent bandhs it said.
Examinations are going on in MU, Law College, BSc, BA and it is unimaginable how AISF could call a bandh when it itself is a students' body it said.
If the Thoubal DC is guilty AMSU will take up various forms of agitations to punish the DC it said.
Bandh affects normal life, common citizens and the poor badly it was pointed out.
It urged AISF to call off the indefinite bandh.
It warned of appropriate actions if the indefinite bandh is not called off.
