Ibobi seeks Cong party's faults

Taking serious note of the successive defeat of Congress candidates in Kumbi Assembly constituency, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, asked the people of the constituency what wrongs have the Congress party done to them.
Taking part in a district level flagship training programme organised by the Bishnupur District Congress Committee at Kumbi Bazar today, Ibobi noted that Congress candidates were repeatedly defeated in Kumbi AC even as huge crowds gathered in election meetings held ahead of the polls.
Ibobi, in an emotional voice, said that he was wondering what wrongs have the Congress party done to the people of Kumbi AC.
Seeking to know if the people have any grievances or misgivings against the Congress party, Ibobi appealed to the gathering to elect Congress candidates so that there can be a stable Government in the State.
Lauding the people for electing Congress candidates delivering them absolute majority in the recent elections for Kumbi Nagar Panchayat, Ibobi proposed "let this be the first step" .
Training programmes on UPA Government's flagship projects were being organised in view of the approaching Assembly elections, and also o alleviate economic condition of the rural people belonging to BPL families.
People should study what their representatives have done in the last five years.
The real owners of the MLA Local Area Development Fund are the people.
People should ascertain where these funds were utilised, the Chief Minister stated.
MPCC president Gaikhangam claimed that there is no opposition in Manipur.
On account of the several development programmes taken up by the Congress-led SPF Government, no opposition party has courage to speak any words against the Government.
Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister N Loken said that the flagship training programme was being organised there as a form of election campaign with a view to break the jinx on Congress party in Kumbi AC.
He also appealed to the people to send a Congress representative to the next Government which would be Congress exclusive.
The programme was also attended by many MLAs and party leaders.
