TDC extends aid

The Transporters and Drivers Council (TDC) has handed over health card (Ayushman Bharat) of Rs five lakh and a ration card to truck driver Naorem Manglemjao who has been suffering from immotility after he suffered injuries on spinal cord in an accident.
Naorem Manglemjao of Patsoi Part I Mayai Leikai was an FCI truck driver who used to ply on Imphal-Jiribam highway.
He suffered injuries on the spinal cord after he fell from the top of his truck while adjusting the tarpaulin cover.
Since then he has been rendered bed-ridden.
A few days back, a TDC team led by its president H Ranjit visited Manglemjao and donated Rs 50,000 .
TDC secretary T Jiban today handed over health card of Rs five lakh and ration card to the injured driver.
It is said that a team of TDC would take Mang-lemjao to Guwahati within the next few days for further treatment.
T Jiban said that all the expenses of treating Manglemjao at Guwahati would be borne by TDC.
Incidentally, local MLA AK Mirabai too visited Manglemjao today and she hailed TDC as well as the Drivers' Welfare Association for their kind initiative to take Manglemjao to Guwahati for further treatment.
The MLA also pledged that she would be extend all possible assistance towards the treatment of Manglemjao.
