Covid-19: Distribution of relief items continues

Imphal, August 06 2021:
Various organisations and individuals continued to distribute aid including edibles and medicines to Covid-19 affected people of the state.
AMUCO and All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) distributed 4 kg of rice each to 195 families in Thoubal district on Friday.
In a release, AMUCO informed that a team comprising its president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, AMAWOVA president Yumkhaibam Kunjarani, vice president Wangkhem Ibemma, general secretary Kshetrimayum Sujata and All Thoubal District United Clubs' Organisation (ATDUCO) president Rajen Loitam distributed rice at Thoubal Athokpam, Khangabok Sorok Wangma Part-1, Khangabok Palli Leikai Part-2, Khangabok Mayai Leikai Part-2, Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai Part-2, Khangabok Khunou Leikai Part-3, Khangabok Makha Leikai Part-3 under Khangabok assembly constituency and at Langmeithet, Salungpham under Heirok AC.
Similarly, BJP Kisan Morcha vice president, Medical Cell convener Dr Ksh Kala and Covid-19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha distributed edible items to households in containment zones of Khundrakpam and Lamlai ACs respectively on Friday.
Meanwhile, AMUCO and United Clubs' Organisation of Bishnupur District (UCOBID) in collaboration with Bishnupur District Covid-19 Task Force on Friday conducted awareness programme on preventive measures against Covid-19 along with distributing Arsenic Album 30, Aconite 30 and AYUSH 64 tablets issued by AYUSH Department, to 2000 people of Nongmaik-hong and Kumbi areas with the help of local clubs.
In a release, UCOBID publicity secretary Th Gopen conveyed that the programme was attended by Bishnupur District Covid-19 Task Force chairman and social scientist Dr IS Konthoujam, UCOBID general secretary RK Rabinkanta and United Kumbi and Neighbouring Club Organisation (UKANCO) general secretary Wahengbam Shanta.
On the other hand, All Manipur Manpower Upliftment Centre (AMMUC) and Ekta Parishad Manipur Branch distributed aid to 500 families in Ngankha Lawai, Thanga Samukon, Thanga Moirangthem, Thanga Laisoi, Thanga Trongbram, Thanga Khunjem, Thanga Ngaram, Thanga Heisnam, Thanga Chingkha, Thanga Karang, Khordak, Napet Awang Leikai and Napet.
