Kidnapping of ADC BJP candidate's wife condemned

Kakching, May 11 2015 : In connection with the recent kidnapping of a BJP candidate's wife by suspected NSCN (IM) cadres, Lamkang womenfolk from 13-Vomku District Council Constituency have strongly condemned the incident and appealed to all not to repeat such acts in future.

Speaking to media persons on Monday, Kh Fedalis Sangkhilnu of New Lamkang Khunthak village said that womenfolk of 13-Vomku District Council strongly condemned the kidnapping and later freeing the wife of Beradin Shilshi Lamkang, a BJP candidate for the upcoming Autonomous District Council (ADC) election, by suspected NSCN (IM) cadres.

Fedalis Sangkhilnu also said that womenfolk of the constituency was about to stage a sit-in protest against the incident, but it was cancelled on the request of the BJP candidate.

Further, she also appealed to all not to repeat such acts in future.

It is worth mentioning that Shangkhu Shilshi was abducted by some suspected underground cadres from a spot near Pallel last Saturday night and was freed later on.
