Imphal, March 16 2012:
The Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has expressed unhappiness over the prolonged absence of Autonomous District Council CEO since the retirement of Biramani on superannuation of his service on February 29 .
In a statement, the student body demanded the authorities for immediate appointment of a CEO in-charge.
According to the state, the CEO office is lying vacant since February last without any in-charge or care taker to deal long pending and urgent files.
Such negligence on the part of the ADC or the State Government is "condemnable and manifest total negligence to the welfare of the District" .
The ADC Senapati is one of the largest departments/bodies with more than 1000 employees and the absence of a CEO for so many days has seriously hampered the ADC office works, the student body rued.
On the other hand, the student body has expressed regret over the slow progress of work in the black-topping of NH 2 .
