Relief items distributed to families in containment zones, widows

BJP Manipur State Council member and Covid-19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha extended edible items and monetary aid to households that have been declared as containment zones in Kambongput, Kanguchingjin Khunou, Kameng Khunjao, Nongada Awang Leikai, Leimakhongmapal and Huidrom.
Monetary aid was given to CHIC set up at Kameng Primary School and Bikom High School and also to local Covid Task Force of Nongpok Sanjenbam, Kanguchingjin Khunou, Nongada Awang Leikai and Leimakhongmapal.
BJP Kishan Morcha vice president and medical cell convener Dr Ksh Kala also provided edible items to families in Khundrakpam Maning Leikai, Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai and Pourabi Awang Leikai through Covid-19 Task Force of the respective localities while social worker cum advocate A Surendrakumar Singh of Borobekra sub division (Barak circle) Jiribam provided essential items along with edibles to Covid Care Centre set up Jiribam Borobekra Higher Secondary School.
Wabagai AC ex-MLA Dr Usham Deben, who is also BJP Manipur Pradesh president incharge, too distributed essential items to 200 families of Wabagai, Keirak and Kakching which are under Wabagai AC and have been notified as containment zones.
He also extended a sum of Rs 50,000 to Kadajit Youth Welfare Club, which has been fighting the pandemic at the local level.
Social worker Mayengbam Ranjit of Wabagai also provided edible items to several households in Kakching Chumang Leikai, Kakching Phoushupat Leikai and Kakching Turel Wangma under Wabagai AC.
Eastern Clubs' Development Organisation (ECDO), which is a conglomerate of 56 clubs in Imphal East district under All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) distributed edible items to widows and select poverty stricken families in various places under the jurisdiction of the ECDO affiliates.
Components of ECDO including Moirang Purel Panam Leikai Welfare Club (MPLWC), Moirang Purel Youth Club (MYC), Moirang Purel Panthoibi Youth Club (MPYC), Moirang Purel Youth Development Club (MYDC), Tumukhong Youth Social Organisation (TYSO), Itham Maning Leikai Youth Club (IMLYC), Itham Naharol Yaipha Thourang Club (INYTC), Laikhong Youth Club (LYC), Nongpok Keithelmanbi Juvenile Club (NKJC), Nongbram Thumkhong Lairem- bi Youth Club (NTLYC), Nungaipokpi Youth Sporting Club (NYSC), TYPO and NAYA of Top Chingtha, LYCY Club of Yairipok Laimanai, All Poirou Khong- jil United Clubs' Organisation (APUCO), EYO, LYC, WPC, SYC and BYC of Angtha, Young Farmer Club (YFC), Youth Welfare Association (YWA) and Youth Development Association (YDA) of Huikap Khul, Uchol Youth Club (UYC) and Ngariyan Makha Leikai Sporting Club (NMLSC) distributed edible items to widows and destitute families living under their respective jurisdiction.
On the other hand, Khurai Nandeibam Leikai GP pradhan Yumnam Chitra distributed edible items to 400 households under ward number 6, 7 and 8 of the GP.
She further assured of providing edible items to the remaining households under the jurisdiction of the GP.
In connection with Seva Hi Sangathan phase II, BJP Kishan Morcha Manipur Pradesh handed over face masks, hand sanitizers, PPE, oximeter and drinking water to Covid Task Force formed by local clubs and organisations of Lairenjam Sabal under 21-Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC while Wangkhem MLA K Meghachandra along with Wangkhem Block Congress Committee and Relief Committee distributed edible items to 15,000 households of the constituency.
The distribution of edible items will continue till June 30.Lamjingba Hospital and Medical Research Institute Private Limited Imphal managing director Thingnam Ibomcha also provided essential items to 60 households in Pangantabi and Sugnu that have been notified as virus zones and also to Community Home Isolation Centre set up at Sugnu guest house.
He along with members of BJP Sugnu mandal handed over face masks, hand sanitizers and sodium hypochlorite to Pangantabi Covid Task Force.
In Thobal district, relief items were provided to around 25 households of Thoubal Okram and Thoubal Wang- mataba Sorok Makha under Thoubal Municipal Council Ward Number 1, which have been notified as containment zone, by former ward member Ningombam Nanda in collaboration with volunteers of Youth Development Organisation (YDO) and Social Service and Welfare Association (SSAWA) .
