Imphal, March 10 2015:
The proscribed Revolutionary Peoples Front (RPF) has on Tuesday claimed that Manipur Home Minister Gaikhangam has "facilitated colonial rule" by the Government of India" in pursuing its divide and rule policy against the people of the State's hills and valley by holding PLA responsible for the recent Ukhrul blast episode.
In a statement signed by Roben Khuman, secretary, publicity & Revolutionary People's Front, the outfit rejected the claim by Gaikhangam that PLA cadres were suspected to be involved in the Nambasi blast in which one Adison Jaso (36) was killed and one Hitler Keishing was wounded.
RPF claimed that its armed wing PLA never cover up facts related to incidents that involved the outfit unlike the Indian security forces.
The statement further alleged that the "puppet Government of the region in cahoots with Indian colonial Army" have been committing various crimes in the State and continuing with their habit of concealing facts on incidents like exploding bombs in public places and killing civilians, abducting people, arresting innocent people and killing them by framing wrong charges against them, and raping women.
RPF also pointed out that the recent discovery of human skulls and skeletal remains at Tombisana High School campus, Imphal was once used by the CRPF as their 'bastion' .
RPF reminded that the revelation on the secrets of Guantanamo Bay and Abu Gharib jails have become an eye-opener and clearly indicated that the truth cannot be concealed for long.
The outfit said there are many cases wherein a number of Indian Army personnel are charged with crimes but not even single personnel has been punished by the established law till date.
Instead of giving punishment to such personnel of the Indian Army, the Government always tries to sideline such cases, RPF claimed adding that if commissions are set up to probe these cases, the government had to pay ex-gratia ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh is given to the next of kin.
