Imphal, March 10 2015:
By claiming that there was suspicion of PLA's involvement in the Ukhrul bomb blast, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam was abetting the 'divide and rule' policy of the Government of India, the proscribed RPF alleged.
A statement issued by the outfit's Publicity Secretary Roben Khuman claimed that RPF/PLA never shied away from claiming responsibility for all its activities including disastrous mistakes.
The outfit then cited the bomb blasts of August 14, 2003 at Lilong and December 16, 2007 at Pourabi which inflicted large scale casualties on civilians.
RPF/PLA claimed responsibilities for the two bomb blasts and explained in detail to the public about how their plans went wrong.
RPF has the courage to own all its activities publicly but the Deputy Chief Minister was pointing an accusing finger at the outfit for the bomb blast at Nambasi on February 5 this year even after it was clarified in media that RPF/PLA had nothing to do with the particular bomb blast.
The bomb was planted by Indian military forces in the wake of the series of offensive launched by PLA with an ulterior motive to kill civilians and depreciate public support enjoyed by the party, alleged the outfit.
The bomb was planted under a conspiracy to polarise hill people and plain people, the outfit alleged.
Even though it is common knowledge that Indian military forces are involved in several cases of bomb explosions, involuntary disappea- rances, summary executions, arbitrary detentions and rapes, they have been maintaining that they were not involved in any such cases.
The discovery of human skulls and skeletal remains at the erstwhile Tombisana High School, earlier occupied by CRPF, evoked a dozen questions but the alien forces and the puppet Government would never be able to give a satisfactory answer.
No wrong deeds can be concealed for good.
Today, the world knows how hundreds of people were subjected to all kinds of extreme torture at Guantanamo Bay prison of the USA and Abu Gharib prison in Iraq.
Unable to face the international censure, the US Government punished some of its military officers who were involved in torturing prisoners at Abu Gharib.
However, no Indian military officer has been summoned to dock or punished even though they were allegedly involved in several cases of torture and murder of civilians, enforced disappearan- ces and rapes.
The outfit asserted that the human skulls and skeletal remains discovered from erstwhile Tombisana High School campus were of those people who were subjected to involuntary disappearance after they were picked up by security forces.
"If Manipur should be made a prosperous country and if our people wish to lead a dignified, purposeful life, our masses should support and join the liberation movement being spearheaded by RPF/PLA", it added.
