Panthoibi celebrates 13th foundation day

Imphal, September 08 2018: Chairman cum Managing Director of Panthoibi Housing Finance Company limited, Thokchom Hemo, has announced that the firm will take an active role in providing housing solutions for Pradhan Mantri Awaj Yojna Credit Linked Subsidy in the State.

Speaking to media persons during the 13th foundation day observation of the firm at Uripok Tourangbam Leikai yesterday, Hemo said that the company was established on September 7, 2005, with the belief that housing solutions in the State will be more accessible if a financial institution for housing is present in the State.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Housing for all by 2022 mission, the company is providing various loans to the beneficiaries.

The company even provides subsidised home loans upto Rs 2.67 lakh as housing loans to economically weaker sections, low income group and middle income group I and II.

He explained that an MoU has also been signed for PMAY-Gramin for the rural areas.

The company provides various subsidised home loans as well as business loans to the people of the State, Hemo added.

He also expressed pride in the fact that Panthoibi Group of Company, made up of Panthoibi Microfin, Panthoibi Construction Limited and Panthoibi Nidhi Limited, are acting as a financial platform for the development of people.

With the opening of a branch at Silchar, the company now has 13 branches in the valley areas of the State.

He continued that the company wishes to open its branches at the hill areas as well but the plan is being put on hold due to some inconveniences.

Pointing out that the company is also planning to open branches at various parts of the North East region, the Managing Director said that the company is working hard to provide employment to the talented and hard-working youth of the State.

Hemo informed that as a part of the company's foundation day celebration, gifts, eatables, stationery items were distributed to various children homes which are located near the 14 branches of the company in the morning.

Clothes and food items were distributed at the old age home at Mongshangei as well, he added.
