Staff of Jiribam Hospital stages sit-in-protest

Jiribam, August 05 2018:
Staffs of Jiribam Hospital closed OPD services yesterday and staged a sit-in-protest in front of the hospital demanding immediate release of their salary which was due for the last six months.
Jiribam Hospital is a 50-bedded hospital based at Uchanthol.
As reported by our correspondent, the staffs has shut down the OPD services from 10 am to 2 pm and later staged the sit-in-protest in front of the hospital.
The staffs said that the sit-in-protest will be continued till Sunday.
The protestors said if the authority concerned did not release their salary soon then they will push their agitation further by resorting to total shut down of the hospital from August 6 till their demands are met.
Regarding the agitation, one of the protestors Y Ramananda said that it is unfortunate that the higher authority is still reluctant to release their salary even after the staffs are devoid of their salary for the six months.
