Imphal, May 29 2012:
While expressing serious concern over the massive hike in the price of petrol, State CPI secretary Dr Nara has decried the remarks of Union Petroleum Minister Jaipal Reddy, who excused himself from the issue by denying any involvement of the government in the matter.
Addressing a press meet at CPI State Unit, Thangal Bazaar today, Dr Nara observed that this was the first ever highest price hike which has come as a gift to the people from UPA government led by Congress as it completes third term.
Pointing out that Left parties have been demanding rollback of the price hike, Dr Nara announced that protest rallies, sit-sin, strikes and rail rokko and highway blockade would be witnessed all over India on May 31 .
