Entrepreneur vows to aid daily wagers sustain livelihood

RK Fortune Developer Private Limited managing director RK Rameshwar has stated that distribution of few edible items to people amid the challenging situation of COVID-19 pandemic is not enough and hence a special measure will be taken up so that the people of Patsoi AC could earn money while staying at their homes.
RK Rameshwar gave this assurance on the concluding day of 15-day programme of distribution of edible items to families under containment zones in Patsoi assembly constituency.
He had started distribution of edible items on June 1 and covered around 15,000 households of the assembly segment.
On the concluding day on Tuesday, distribution was done at Sapam Leirak, Thingom Leirak, Khuraijam Leirak and Tongbram Leikai covering around 1100 households.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the distribution, RK Rameshwar informed that he provided some edible items to every household of Patsoi AC to ease the suffering of the people during the pandemic at least to some extent and those left out will also be provided the same benefits within the next few days.
According to RK Rameshwar, COVID-19 pandemic has badly affected every section of the society with daily wage earners hit the hardest as they could not move out of their homes.
In view of this, a special measure will be taken up so that daily wage earners of Patsoi AC could earn money from their homes, he said, adding that economy of the society must be improved or else the society would be left out from the race of development.
He said that preparation has been made to improve economy of the people of Patsoi AC by taking up small scale industries, weaving, poultry and enhancing productivity of farms.
This will enhance GDP of the state as well, he added.
On containing the pandemic, RK Rameshwar said that vaccination is the best way to contain the pandemic and everyone must get vaccinated and those refusing to get vaccine should also be persuaded.
He noted that the vaccination rate of people in Manipur is still very low when compared with other states.
