With two more days left for the state government of Manipur to address pending issues agreed between the All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM), Tombing group and the state government of Manipur, the tribal students' body today warned that it will resort to stern agitation if the agreement is not materialised by May 25 .
ATSUM's demands are to improve the health and educational facilities in hill districts, modification or alteration of the existing 200 point rosters, appointment of backlog vacancies in GAD, cancellation of piecemeal recruitment drive in Manipur legislative assembly secretariat, effective governance in Manipur hill districts, transferring of land records, police jurisdiction, non-existence of state chief information commissioner, to do away the culture of service extension in Manipur, tribal sub-pan, re-allocation or re-deployment of teachers and finally to address the minister Md Abdul Nasir case.
Except for Nasir's issue, the rest points mentioned by ATSUM have been agreed by the state government of Manipur on November 25, 2013 to address within six months which lapses on May 25 .
