CBK requests for advisories

The Co-Ordinating Body, Khurai in its letter to the Governor has requested for advisory to be issued to the State Government and Governor of RBI during this period of lockdown.
Taking into account the current active COVID-19 positive cases and the ongoing lockdown/curfew imposed in the State, the economy as well as purchasing/payment capacity of the people are drastically low.
In this regard, the Co-Ordinating Body, Khurai has requested Governor Najma Heptullah to issue advisory to the State Government to exempt school fees, educational/institutional fees, university fees, transport fees of the students, rents of tenants and also to exempt interest of loans, mortgage of gold, lands of private/local vendors including micro-finance, thrift, marup etc.
It also requested to issue advisory to the Governor of RBI (for Manipur) to exempt interest of loans, mortgage from financial institutions and exempt payment of premium of insurance companies in Manipur under RBI's jurisdiction and also to allow zero balance of bank accounts and exempt or relax credit norms for credit card holders, it said.
