CPI decries 'anti-workers' policy, salutes Ho Chi Minh

Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council today observed the 130th birth anniversary of revolutionary communist, Ho Chi Minh at 10 locations of the State today but in a different way as members staged sit-in to protest the Governments' anti-working class people policy.
The tall leader was born on May 19, 1890 in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, the north-central province of Nghe An and had fought against Japanese, French and US forces leading to the establishment of Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now Socialist Republic of Vietnam) in 1945 .
Ho Chi Minh who also became the first President of Vietnam, devoted his whole life to peace, equality and progress in the world, said CPI in a press statement while lauding Vietnam for its resolute fight against COVID-19 which have ravaged and claimed more than 90 thousand lives across USA, which is considered one of the most powerful Nations.
The Central Government, in view of the COVID-19 crisis, has announced economic packages for the welfare and relief of all but with the defunct system, the working class and marginalised section of the society including migrant workers are yet to get their due share and many have even lost their lives in the meantime, alleged CPI.
The observation programme cum sit-in was held at Kshetrigao in Imphal East, Kangmong in Imphal West, Tentha in Thoubal, Kakching, Moirang, Kumbi, Nambol and three other locations in Imphal, the statement said.
Comrades Sotinkumar and Joykumar spoke on the life of communist leader Ho Chi Minh at the events held at Kshetrigao and Kangmong, it added.
Floral tributes were also paid to the leader during the programmes, it continued.
