KRSU, TYA warn over price hike

The KomRem Students' Union Kangpokpi and Thadou Youth Association Kangpokpi in a joint press conference held today at Kangpokpi District Headquarter has strongly opposed the alleged price hike in the district and warned to take stringent action.
Speaking to media persons, K Songreng Kom, president KRSU said that following the total lockdown announced by the Government in the State, it was found that prices of commodities skyrocketing in the district which is very unfortunate and unwanted.
K Songreng Kom also expressed that when people are struggling hard to meet their daily needs at this time of critical juncture, it is unbecoming on the part of the shop dealers to hike the price of the commodities and said that the student bodies will not remain a mute spectator in the larger interest of the struggling people.
He warned that KRSU and TYA will jointly conduct inspection from May 21 and if anyone is found involved in the price hike or any shop found selling above MRP, they will be given befitting action as per the law.
