ITF observes 37th Intl AIDS Candlelight Memorial Service

The Indigenous Foundation (TIF), Union Tangkhul Church Imphal and Christian Network for Positive Women, Manipur in collaboration with MACS, observed the 37th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Service on Sunday at the conference hall of Tangkhul Baptist Church Imphal (TBCI).
During the observation, the gathering (about 20-25 people) maintained physical distancing and followed proper hygiene, said a statement of TIF.
Saying that the programme started with an opening prayer by Rev Ngamlei Zimik, Pastor, TBCI and end with a vote of thanks from Chuishung Zimik, Care Ministry, TBCI, TIF said that the closing prayer was made by Rev SP Mahaphang, Chairman, UTBCI.

Rajan and MP (Outer) Dr Lorho Pfoze attended the programme as special guests.
They contributed rice, hand sanitizers, masks and monetary assistance for the societies with candlelight.
They also encouraged peaceful co-existence for all communities.
And both the MPs have promised to assist the organisations during the lockdown and in their future projects, added the statement.
Rev Aphang Shimray, Chairman, UTBCI in his message expressed concern for all the victims of COVID-19 and HIV-AIDS victims around the world during this lockdown.
