86 Bn CRPF extends assistance

Imphal, January 18 2020:
86 Battalion CRPF undertook a civic action programme during which 10 sewing machines were distributed to women society organisations of Santipur village, Kanglatongbi under Imphal West district today.
The programme was conducted under the aegis of Anshuman Yadav, IPS/IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector under the supervision of Kalyan Singha, Commandant 86 Battalion CRPF.
Narayan Balai, second in command and Mina Bisht, Gram Pradan of Kanglatongbi were also present as well.
The programme was organised with the objective of extending a friendly and helping hand to the poor women, to help them develop skills for their livelihood and self dependence.
Speaking at the event, Kalyan Singha, Commandant 86 CRPF, extended immense gratitude to the women society organisations for extending support to the CRPF.
Saying that the CRPF will conduct more of such programmes in the future as well, he said that highlighted the activities undertaken by 86 battalion CRPF in the stretch of NH 37 like distribution of water storage tank, study/sports materials to the needy students, free medical camps, construction of public convenience facility, construction of water reservoir and passengers waiting shed at Keithelmanbi, Sehjang, K Senam, Noney area as well as football tournaments at Santipur, Kanglatongbi village.
The gram pradan and the locals lauded the beneficial initiative of 86 Battalion CRPF and expressed hope for similar events in the future.
