6th NNPDC incentive awards presented
50 bedded Ayush Hospital will be completed soon: MLA

The 6th NNPDC incentive award 2010 was presented to the meritorious students of Keirao Bitra who have excelled in the Class X and XII examinations.
The award presentation ceremony organised by Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Development committee Keirao bitra was held at Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Community Hall.
Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meitei, NNPDC Keirao bitra chairman T Joy Meitei, Bamonkampu ZP member Golmei Kachungna, Keirao GP Pradhan K Chourajit, Ward member N Lata, Ward member Sh Baleshor, PrincipalJohnstone Higher Secondary School M Jadumani Meitei, Retd Asst Teacher T Ibohal and IFCD surveyor H Lokendra attended the function as presidium members.
Altogether 20 first division holders were felicitated during the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meitei said that the construction of a 50 bedded integrated Ayush Hospital and Homeopathy College at Keirao bitra has started.
Government is planning to start OPD service of the Ayush Hospital from July this year, he said.
Asserting that people of Keirao have been facing many inconveniences in terms of medical facilities, connectivity, drinking water, education due to 'negligence' of the previous Governments, the MLA assured the gathering that he will do his best to resolve public grievances 'within a year' with the available resources as local MLA.
Assuring that three community halls would be constructed at Keirao bitra, the MLA said that earthwork for construction of a community hall at Keirao Awang Leikai has already started.
The construction of the community hall would start as soon as rainy season is over.
Further on connectivity, repairing of Imphal-Yairipok road will be started from next year, he said.
