MLA U Deven appeals for re-poll in Wabgai A/C

Sitting MLA of Wabagai A/C, U Deven has appealed to the Chief Election Officer to conduct re-poll in the constituency, alleging that unfair means were used to ensure the success of Congress candidates.
MLA U Deven, candidate of Wabagai A/C fighting on Trinamool Congress ticket, addressing media persons at his official quarter at Babupara, charged Md Fazur Rahim, Congress candidate of Wabagai A/C resorted to unfair means and forced the voters to cast their votes.
Polling station number 36/8, which is the home polling station of Fazur Rahim, recorded poll percentage of 99.35%, which clearly shows that unfair means were used widely.
He further stated that in this polling station, proxy voting for all those voters who are out of station have been carried out.
If the polling was done through postal ballot, the percentage would have crossed 100.Fazur Rahim had also threatened the non-Muslim voters in polling station number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 from entering the polling stations and as such the voters were deprived of their voting rights to choose the candidate of their choice.
The act should be.
dealt with seriously by the Chief Election Officer and re-poll be done in these polling stations.
He also alleged that many of the people of Wabgai have not come back home as they are being threatened by the Congress candidate.
The age long love and brotherhood prevalent in the constitution has been wrecked by Fazur Rahim.
