CM opens SBI branch in Ccpur

Chief Minister O Ibobi today inaugurated a new SBI branch at Tuibuong here while he also attended a training programme on the flagship schemes of the SPF government alongside MPCC(I) president Gaikhangam at YPA hall, New Lamka.
A long pending aspiration of the locals, the new SBI branch is the third in the district and second for the township.
The bank authorities said facilities like in any other bank branches will be on offer at the three-counters, state of the art branch that was inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
IPR minister TN Haokip and outer Manipur MP Thangso Baite were other dignitaries in attendance.
The Chief Minister then addressed a training programme organized by the district congress committee with four of his cabinets namely Health minister Jayantakumar Singh, social welfare minister N Loken Singh, Power Minister Phungzathang Tonsing and TN Haokip.
The four alongwith ADCC Chairman Langkhanpau Guite also addressed the gathering.
Ibobi in his speech justified his cabinet's decision to hand over all flagship programme implemented under DRDA to the ADC and appointment of senior MCS officer as an executive director.

"The Deputy Commissioners have many responsibilities, the cabinet decision will relieve them to a great extent," he said, even as he advised ADCs to be practical in their implementation.
Failing to provide utilization certificates in time or failure to pursue funds from the centre will annoy the public and in such cases we will have to shift it back to the old system, he said.
IPR minister TN Haokip uses the words that were all too familiar in times of election saying the public is the master and they are the servants.
