ECI announces repoll in 67 booths across 9 ACs on Mar 4

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially announced conduct of repoll in 67 polling stations spread across 9 Assembly Constituencies on March 4 between 7 am and 4 pm.
According to an official notification issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, 25 out of the 67 polling stations fall under Chandel Assembly segment in Chandel district, that had witnessed blood-shed at a polling station when the State went to the polls on January 28 .
The said polling stations were included in the first repoll held on February 4 .
With 13 polling stations enlisted for the second phase repolling, Karong Assembly Constituency in Senapati district ranks second in terms of number of polling stations where the ECI ordered repoll.
Tadubi AC and Mao AC, also in Senapati district will witness 10 and six polling stations respectively going for the repoll while eight polling stations of Tamei AC have been enlisted in the ECI order for repolling.

In Saikul AC, electorates covered by Ekou Muallam and H Champhai polling stations will re-exercise their franchise rights while the polling stations of Kambang Khullen in Tengnoupal AC, Kharasom in Chingai AC and Lunthul L of Singhat AC have also been listed for the March 4 democratic exercise.
The 25 polling stations in chandel AC are New Chayang, Japhou Bazar Pt-1 (B), Kanankhu, Monsang Pantha, Lambung, Modi, Unupat, Berukhudam, Phiran Khullen, Duthang, Y Thingkhangphai, Paraolon, Longja, Teiyang, Gobok, Paldai, Molphei, Khangbarol, Lamphei, New Songjang, Joupi, Hengsi, Molngat, Wayang and Molcham.
In Karong AC, Kapao, Maiba (A), Purul Atongba-C, Purul Akutpa-B, Oinam (A-II), Oinam (B-I), Ngari Khullen, Ngari Lishang, Ngari Raiduloumei, Thingba Khullen-A, Thingba Khullen-B, Keiye & Rafii and Upper Khongnem would figure in the March 4 repolling.
For Mao AC repolling would be conducted at Pudunamei-A, Robunamei-A, Robunamei-B, Kalinamei C-I, Kalinamei C-II and Laii-B polling stations while in Tadubi AC polling stations listed for repolling include Tadubi-B, Rajamai, Shangkhumei, Willong Khullen-A, Chowainamei Khullen-A, Chowainamei Khullen-B, Makhan Centre-B, Maram Khullakpa Sagei A-I, Maram Mathak Sagei B and Maram Bazar.
Electorate will also recast their votes at Makuilong, Lemta, Kadi, Dunong, Thengjang, Tamah, Impah and Namtiram polling stations of Tamei AC.
Notably, Modi and Unupat in Chandel AC, Chowainamei Khullen A & B and Makhan Centre-B of Tadubi AC had gone to the repoll on February 4.While handing over the ECI order to newspersons, CEO officials informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved provision/deployment of 45 companies of central para-military forces and 20 companies of State security forces for the March 4 repoll.
Atleast one helicopter will also be requisitioned to meet emergency situation, if any.
