CISF woman cop found shot dead inside CM's Secretariat

Imphal, November 20 2013:
A woman constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted at the residence cum bungalow of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh here found dead with bullet wound under mysterious circumstances today morning.
The deceased woman CISF Constable has been identified as Priti D Bole (22), d/o Dilip Rao D Bole of Kailash Nagar, Gopal Nagar, Maharashtra.
She was posted on duty inside the bungalow's security gate to screen women visitors when she was hit by an unknown bullet and died.
The incident occurred at around 10:20 am.
Sources said she was alone at the gate when the deadly bullet hit her in the lower back and exited through her abdomen.
One Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Assistant Sub Inspector and two Constables, including Priti were on duty at the check point at the gate of the Chief Minister's residence cum office since early morning.
However, she was all by herself when the incident occurred.
She was taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) immediately, but the doctors declared her brought dead.
The body has been kept at the mortuary of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital where post mortem was conducted late in the evening.
Police are tight-lipped and refused to give any comment on the incident except to say that the matter is under investigation.
No responsible officer is ready to say whether it was a case of suicide or homicide.
However, sources said that she was hit in the back by a single bullet and it had exited from the abdomen.
The source of the mystery bullet is not known yet.
It is said that there was no visitor at the residence cum office of the Chief Minister today morning as Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and his family members were away at their home in Thoubal district for the Mangani Chakkouba feast related to the marriage of his eldest son.
Meanwhile, a case of unnatural death has been registered with Imphal Police Station.
The investigation regarding the incident is going on, SP of Imphal West informed in a press statement.
