Shiv Sena forms Thoubal district committee

Shiv Sena has formed its Thoubal District Committee, said Shiv Sena Manipur State president M Tombi today.
Addressing a press meet at Babupara, M Tombi said that Shiv Sena had been working for the formation of the Thoubal committee for quite some time to strengthen the party and enhance its reach.
Sanasam Mejen Singh has been appointed the Shiv Sena Thoubal District Committee's president with Md Ataur Rahman, Leishangthem Sarat Meitei and Md Ratik Khan as vice presidents, he said.
Ad Ajijur Rahman and Oinam Arpan Singh were appointed as general secretary (orgn) and general secretary (adm) respectively while Heikrujam Chandrahas has been appointed treasurer.
Huidrom Rame Singh and Sukham Premananda Meitei were appointed as publicity secretary and joint secretary respectively, he said.
Meanwhile, M Tombi informed that the Shiv Sena will be organising a tree plantation campaign at Moreh on December 10 and 11.The tree plantation drive will cover Moreh District Hospital, many other offices and roadside in the border town, he said.
Shiv Sena North-East i/c Dillip Panicker will arrive in Imphal on December 9 and he will take part in the tree plantation programme, Tombi said and added that the Shiv Sena leader will discuss the coming Parliamentary election with State party leaders.
Commenting on the major issue pertaining to Haolenphai village, he lauded the Cabinet decision to instal a police outpost in the region.
He said he is going to visit Delhi on December 14 and urged the MPs of the party to introduce and move the issue of the proposed National Highway Protection Force and Framework Agreement in the winter session of the Parliament.
