Imphal, February 27 2013:
After days of mounting threat to block the Bangladesh, China, Myanmar and China (BCIM) Car Rally in the 'Kuki areas' in Manipur, the Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC) let the rallyists passed off peacefully today throughout the Kuki dominated areas but not before it displayed a kind of resentment symbolically by waving black flags.
The BCIM car rallyists passed through the Chandel district amid the promulgation of Section 144 of CrPC from morning till the rallyists passed off to Myanmar through the border town Moreh.
KSDC spokesman George Guite said the KSDC volenteers did not confront the rallyists but opted for a peaceful protest.
George said the people held black flags along the Imphal-Moreh road as the BCIM rallyists passed through this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the KSDC leader said their 'public blockade' will continue as long as the government starts political dialogues with the Kuki militants immediately.
